The ice is officially gone on Off Lake. The docks will be hooked up today to get ready to bring the planes home as soon as the ice leaves the maintenance facility on Rainy Lake. Off Lake is one of the first lakes to be ice free in the area, and the other lakes are usually a 3-7 days after depending on the lake. We will be opening our outpost cabins as soon as the planes are back. It is almost time for everyone's long awaited Canadian fly in fishing trip. We have been busy finishing up some small jobs around the base before we start flying out everyday and busy organizing preorders for those wanting supplies flown in to the outposts before their arrival. If you are in need of a preorder, please get it to us as soon as you can. This season many of our repeat guests will recognize our daughters who are returning to work with us again. Matraca and Madeline will be helping out around the air base, taking over some office responsibilities and helping Hunter on camp checks and keeping the outposts supplied. This extra help will be much appreciated and help to make sure your next trip is a memorable one. We are looking forward to seeing everyone scheduled for this upcoming season!
