Our Canadian fly-in fishing season is in full swing now. The weather has heated up and so has the great fishing. Be sure to follow the fishing reports from our remote fly in outpost cabins in NW Ontario, Canada. Here is a sample of the reports below.

Canadian Fly-In Fishing Reports | Gateway North Outfitters

Lake: Trout Lake

Dates: 5/22-5/28/2026

Group Name:  Todd

Guest Comments: Walleye’s were in the river and on windy points and wind swept islands 12’- 20’. Hair jig and minnow. Be patient they are there. Small mouth moving shallow as water warms up. Back of coves on shelf rocks. Swim baits and hair jig and minnow. Lake trout mainly trolling in 25- 40’ water flicker shad did catch them on swim baits early morning at sunrise. Caught a few northern but never was our target fish. Average size of all species of fish ran really nice. We will post pictures later.
