Our new deluxe fly in outpost cabin is on an island centrally located on this large and beautiful lake with 2 major river systems flowing into the lake making it a constant producer. Otukamamoan (Trout) lake is also on the famous Trout River system with a large rapids/waterfalls entering and leaving the lake. This expansive lake offers over 13,000 acres of water with over 120 miles of shoreline with the Entwine River and numerous other creeks feeding the lake. Trout Lake offers excellent trophy potential for all species.
The lake offers excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and lake trout. There are countless islands, reefs and points for chasing trophy walleye and smallmouth bass, numerous weed beds in the bays where the trophy pike are feeding on unsuspecting walleyes.
The lake produces many eater sized walleye with most walleye averaging 17-22", and fish up to 25" being common, with excellent trophy potential for those magical 30+" fish. This an excellent walleye fishing lake with endless structure and places to explore to find your hot spot. The smallmouth are aggressive and many fish in 2-4# range are common with some pushing over 5#. The lake produces many pike in 5-7# range with all the underwater structure and weedy bays, trophy pike in the 40-45" range are caught and released every year. Enjoy casting the weed beds in the bays for these aggressive fish. Many of these large pike are also caught while chasing walleyes.
The lake trout can be caught trolling deep diving crank baits on the sharp drop offs and deep humps in the main basins of the lake all season long. The lake trout are plentiful with most fish averaging around 5# with many going larger. If you have never caught a lake trout, this is a great lake to experience catching these hard fighting fish. They are also great eating. It is not uncommon to catch lake trout and walleyes in the same areas, you never know what you might reel in on this unique lake.
This lake is loaded with structure and excellent for the serious angler who likes fishing mid lake humps and reefs for trophy fish. The opportunities are endless. Deposits used can not exceed the number of guests in the group and are non refundable and non transferrable. All cabins have a minimum size group requirement, if your party size does not meet the minimum group size, your group will still be responsible to pay for the minimum required group.

Fish Cleaning / Storage Shed at the Trout Lake Fly In Outpost Cabin
You're not likely to spend a lot of time inside when you're at one of our fly-in outpost cabins, but it's nice to know that when you do, the facilities are clean and comfortable. The Trout Lake cabin is equipped with a Honda generator, electric fridge, chest freezer, LED lighting, all pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, large propane BBQ, 2 fish cookers, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, box fans, additional outlets to charge electronics, hot and cold running water and shower. The cabin also features a large 10x20 screened in porch and covered BBQ cooking station. The fish cleaning shed is equipped with electricity and running water.
