Off Lake is a smaller stained water lake which supports a healthy population of walleye, northern pike, crappie, and smallmouth bass. The walleye average 15-18", with some topping out around 28". The northern pike are abundant, with lots of 23-28" fish, 40" pike are caught each year by the persistant anglers. The smallmouth bass run 13-16" on average with the bigger smallies pushing the 20" mark. The crappies in Off Lake are big and in good numbers. Most crappie run 12-15" on average with some topping out at 17". The structure varies from weedy bays to underwater rock bars and humps. With all the varieties of fish, it will keep every fisherman busy.
At Off Lake we have three housekeeping cabins available with most all the amenities of home. Our housekeeping cabins sleep 2-8 people and have 1-2 bedrooms. Both of our larger cabins have screened in porches as well. It is a great location for fishing vacations with the family or friends. There is a sand beach and picnic area with a fire pit on the water edge. Off Lake offers good action to keep even the young anglers satisfied and the adults pleased as well. More fishing is available on the Clearwater - Pipestone Chain of lakes for guests looking to explore more water. The Clearwater - Pipestone chain of lakes offers more fishing opportunities for walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappie, muskie, and lake trout. From Clearwater Lake, you can also access Jackfish, Footprint, Despair, and Rice Lakes. The area also has many other smaller lakes that can be fished by portaging and canoe. The fishing opportunities are endless. This is an affordable family fishing vacation North of the border that everyone can afford! There are also hiking trails to enjoy and get in touch with nature. It also makes a great overnight lodging spot for fellow fisherman departing on trips from Clearwater Lake on fly ins, or boat in lodges on the Clearwater - Pipestone chain of lakes. We are located just minutes from all Clearwater Lake departure points. Excellent accommodations at an affordable rate. A great alternative to staying in town at a hotel or motel, when you could jump start your Canadian fly-in or boat-in outpost fishing trip by staying at the lake.
